How's this for effective speed control?

These are actual speed controls being used in Canada. 
These holes are made deliberately.

These man-made holes work like a charm.  They are so large that people see them with plenty of time to slow down.

Many drivers actually try to "straddle" the hole.

These man-made ditches have proven to be MUCH cheaper than speed cameras, traditional speed bumps, radar guns, police cars on every corner, etc.

There's only one problem.  The only people who actually slow down are people from out of town.  Why is that?

The Real Humor here might be the behind-the-scenes pictures of the goofball dog owners while they organized this silly photo opportunity.

How did they get those dogs to cooperate?

It might actually be easier to take separate pictures and combine them.

This is one picture that may be a testimony to someone's Fake Picture skills.  If so, take a bow.  This one is pretty good.
