Please see my comments below dated February 28, 2008.  There will be no exceptions to the "Book it or Hook it" Rule.

March 8, 2008
:  We are now SOLD OUT of our group rate of $629 for the inside cabin.  The prevailing rate is $707.   There are still 2 oceanview cabins left at the group rate of $749 and 2 balcony cabins at $919 per person.   Don't wait until the March 27th deadline!  You will have to pay the prevailing rate once we are sold out of our alloted space.  The prevailing rate is currently $807 for an oceanview and the balcony is $957.  The rates will only increase as the sail date draws closer.

February 28, 2008:  It has come to my attention that there are members of last year's 2007 Conquest cruise who have likely booked their cabin on this year's trip DIRECTLY through Carnival.

Let me make my position clear.  If someone wants to sign up for the same cruise, but bypass me and book elsewhere, that is their prerogative.

That said, these people will not be included in any SSQQ group activity.  If they make any attempt to join us, my husband and I will explain that they are not welcome.  We have been through this before.  You are either with our group or you are not.  For more information, please read Book It or Hook It.

OUR CRUISE MEETING IS ON: Sunday,  August 10, 2:30 pm at the studio.
We will hand out documents, discuss travel details, answer questions, meet roommates, and coordinate carpools.

Roommate Switches and Other Changes including Trip Cancellations

On each Cruise Trip, there is a somewhat exasperating period of time known as "Revision Time".

The Cruise Industry is best equipped to handle people registering for one cabin as a couple.  Groups like ours present a major headache because so many of our people sign up as "Singles".  Let's face it - "Couples" don't change their minds much while "Singles" change their mind on a pretty steady basis.  I understand that people change their mind or have changes in their lives and I don't mind assisting my customers.  However I am not sure you realize just how time consuming many of these changes are.  This year I have decided to charge a minimal $10 Service Charge fee for one change and $25 for all changes after that.

I know from experience that over the next four months, people are going to change their minds about who they want to room with.  What you may not realize is how difficult it is for me to make changes with Royal Caribbean.  Last year I went slightly nuts with an overwhelming amount of requests for changes.  Therefore I need to come up with ground rules that offer flexibility for you while maintaining my sanity.   For more information, please read "Roommate Switching and other Changes"

For details, please read the "Book it or Hook it" story.
